I’MMUNE delivers healthy meals to Tai Poaffected residents in Lunar New Year

On the first day of Lunar New Year, the I’MMUNE team, under the motto “Warm care, healthy together,” went into the community to deliver comforting and nutritious meals to disaster-affected residents. The initiative specifically covered temporary accommodations supported by the Red Cross, as well as two Lutheran transitional housing sites, Seven Stars Court and Pisces Court, serving families and elderly residents who had lost their homes and were awaiting rebuilding or relocation. The team coordinated with relevant agencies in advance and prepared balanced meal boxes based on recipients’ choices, paying attention to both calories and nutrients and offering vegetarian and low-sodium options to ensure elderly people and those with chronic conditions could eat safely. At the distribution sites, volunteers did more than hand out meals — they chatted with residents to learn about their needs and shared information on community resources and follow-up support, so the care extended beyond a single meal. I’MMUNE will continue partnering with relief and social service organizations to expand its reach and to stand with the community during festivals and difficult times.
